Collections happen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The out-of-hours rate applies to collections before 07:00, after 19:00, and all day on Sundays and bank holidays. It's 1.4 times the standard price, which pays the driver properly for a job at midnight and keeps vehicles available for it.

What the rate means in practice

Who books at night

  • Manufacturers on 24-hour shifts with a line-down at 1am.
  • Hospitals, labs and pharmacies for samples and urgent stock.
  • Event companies loading out after a show closes at 10pm.
  • IT and facilities teams replacing failed hardware before the office opens.
  • Hotels and restaurants with a supplier delivery that didn't arrive.

How to book out of hours

Online booking works all night; choose 'Evenings, nights and Sundays' as the service and the price adjusts. For anything within the next hour, call. The line is answered 24/7 and the dispatcher will tell you honestly how quickly a vehicle can be with you.

Pre-booking Sunday and bank holiday work

Sunday collections booked by Friday afternoon are guaranteed. Booked on the day, they depend on who's online. If you know about it in advance, book it in advance; the price is the same.
